Part I of Mr. G's Sustained Investigation, Fall 2021.
An exploration of fears based on time, dreams, combined with personal experiences, represented by both literal and metaphorical imagery, and how they impact the human figure. Media includes, drawing, acrylic paint, pen and ink, photography and collage. In this first series the idea is to create a series of works of varying sizes, with the idea that new media (photography, drawing, painting, collage) will be added to each smaller 18cm X 40cm section (page of book) within the larger works.

Joana Choumali: Processing pain through embroidery
Joana Choumali: grew up where terrorist attacks took place in Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast. She photographed the people and places just three weeks after the attack. She found the embroidery to be a meditative and cathartic way to process the trauma.
