Joana Choumali: Processing pain through embroidery

 Joana Choumali: grew up where terrorist attacks took place in Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast. She photographed the people and places just three weeks after the attack. She found the embroidery to be a meditative and cathartic way to process the trauma.
