Asafo Flags: Grade 7
Artworks inspired by the Asafo Flags of the Fante people of Ghana, West Africa. Asafo, meaning 'war people', traditionally represents a unit delegated to protect the people or state. Now the flags have mostly metaphorical meanings for strength and bravery. 7th grade students created their own metaphors symbolic of their own strengths.
